In this VR simulator, participants learn to safely implement lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures to physically isolate electrical and hydraulic hazardous energies in relevant equipment. Using virtual LOTO tools, trainees gain practical skills necessary to secure equipment and prevent accidental energy releases, ensuring safety in industrial environments.
Participants learn to isolate electrical and hydraulic hazardous energy using LOTO tools in the VR simulator. The process includes installing system blockers, securing locks with individual keys, and attaching tags featuring the user’s signature, date, and task details. Compliant with NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and IOGP OMS standards, the training incorporates all intermediate steps and tools required for safe and efficient operations in industrial environments.
The VR Experience
The training initiates with a review of the work permit checklist and access to the locking station using a master key. You will then prepare and deactivate an electrical pump, verifying its shutdown before commencing the lockout tagout process. Guided by schematics and signage, you will navigate the facility, securing and monitoring the pressure in the pipelines until the required sections are safely isolated with locks and tags. The session concludes with securing all keys at the locking station and handing over the master key to your supervisor.
